Q. How often should I lubricate my garage door?

A. You should lubricate your garage door springs, rollers, and hinges every 6 months using a high quality garage door lubricant. Lubricating your garage door parts will lengthen the life of your parts - especially the springs.

Q. Should I try to fix my own garage door?

A. No! Garage door components are under extreme pressure from the spring. Any accidents could have life-altering consequences. Most reputable garage technicians will have a minimum of 2 years of specialized training before working fully on their own.

Q. Should use my Garage Door opener to open my door with a broken spring?

A. No, doing so will severely damage opener!

A. No! Garage door openers are not designed to lift the weight of any garage door.  Doing will cause damage to the opener that's not covered by warranty.

 

Q. Why does the green sensor light flash and my garage door won't operate? The sensors are out of alignment with each other. To fix this: Turn one sensor until they are pointing at each other and the green light stops flashing.
